New CrossFit gym opened at Claydon Business Park, Great Blakenham

Penn Commercial is pleased to have arranged the successful letting of Sorrell House, Unit 9 Claydon Business Park to Claydon CrossFit on a 10-year lease, acting on behalf of long-standing client Edward Le Bas Properties Limited, for use as a CrossFit gym.

The new Claydon CrossFit gym is a joint venture between Susannah Money-Schenk and Ben Caldwell, and provides coach-led, functional fitness classes, suitable for any ability.

The 326.03 sq m (3,509 sq ft) Class E property comprises a detached, self-contained two-storey modern building, with extensive designated on-site parking.

Susannah Money-Schenk, joint owner of Claydon CrossFit, said:

“We are both very passionate about CrossFit, and currently run a functional fitness class at Wattisham Airfield, where Ben is serving and I live with my husband.

“CrossFit is a form of exercise / training that’s official tag line is ‘constantly varied, functional movements and high intensity’.

“We like to alter that slightly to 'personal intensity'. The brilliant thing about it is that absolutely anyone can join in, no matter what their age, ability or background.

“We want to create a space that feels, not just like a gym, but also a home. A safe space that our members feel they can come to whenever they want, not just to workout.

Lee Maddox, Director at Edward Le Bas Properties Limited, commented:

"The closure of Attain and Sustain was a great loss to, not only the Business Park, but the wider community as whole.

"We realised that an exercise space is a valuable addition to the Business Park and its community, so when Penn introduced Ben and Susannah to me, and I listened to their energy and warmth along with their plans, I knew they were the perfect fit for the space.

"To work with them to help realise their dream, and to benefit everyone at Claydon Business Park and the wider community outside the Park, is a privilege."

Robin Cousins, Associate at Penn Commercial, added:

"We wish Susannah and Ben the very best of success with their new CrossFit venture at Claydon Business Park. With their dedication, determination and sense of community, we know that they will be a great fit for this popular commercial estate and its surrounding area."

Claydon Business Park provides a well-managed, well-maintained and secure business environment, with a variety of modern premises and a mixed tenant base, offering a good business location, complemented by a range of on-site services.
