A new Adult Gaming Centre (AGC) is planned to be created by applicant Luxury Leisure in the former Burtons retail unit at 78-80 London Road North in Lowestoft town centre, where Penn Commercial was pleased to be the letting agent.
12 new jobs are set to be created after the plans were given the go-ahead to transform this prominent retail shop, to include the new AGC, a staff area with external alterations and associated works.
The unit is located within the prime pedestrianised pitch, adjacent to M&S and Boots. Retailers in close proximity include Waterstones, Rymans and Greggs.
The change of use from Class E 'Retail' to 'Sui Generis' at this location has been deemed to 'contribute to the viability and vitality of Lowestoft Town Centre by increasing footfall', and permission has been granted by East Suffolk Council, subject to the outlined conditions being met.
