Sweco UK hosts Penn Commercial for a Biodiversity Net Gain Breakfast Briefing

Penn Commercial was pleased to visit Sweco UK's Ipswich office for a Breakfast Briefing last week to learn more about Biodiversity Net Gain ('BNG') and the implications for developers across the East.

The Penn team was kindly hosted by Sweco's Richard Webber-Salmon, Technical Manager - Ecology South, Kate Holmes, Project Manager, and Senior Engineer, Thomas Mills.

Sweco is Europe’s leading design, engineering, environment and regulatory consultancy, employing 22,000 designers, engineers and consultancy experts across the UK and Europe.

Sweco provide a ‘one-stop shop’, from the pre-planning stage, to detailed handover – plus due diligence and pre-planning.

A large part of Sweco's work is environmental consultancy nationally – wind, solar / PV, supporting infrastructure, Grid stability, green space and carbon credits.

Penn Commercial's Rachael Jackson said:

"Thanks very much to Richard, Thomas and Kate for hosting us this morning, and we really appreciated such an insightful and comprehensive presentation. This will come in especially useful when we receive potential land enquiries from developers, and we can now discuss BNG with them in a more informed way, and point them in the right direction, if needs be."

Sweco's Project Manager, Kate Holmes, added:

"It was an absolute pleasure to host Penn Commercial at our Sweco Ipswich Office for a breakfast briefing last week to discuss the importance of Biodiversity Net Gain lead by my colleague Richard Webber-Salmon.

"Sweco offer leading expertise in BNG for sites across the UK, alongside a wide range of in-house engineering services."
